Edinburgh Clay Pigeon Shooting

Clay pigeon shooting was once associated with older gentlemen wearing flat caps but that is no longer the case. Clay pigeon shooting is increasingly gaining in popularity with partygoers attending stag or hen weekends. This activity brings people together and encourages a level of healthy competition like nothing else does. First instructions are given to members and then each person is given a gun and shown carefully how to use it. A few very easy practice shots take place and then the competition begins. A multitude of different stands, angles and speeds are used and the clay animals range from pigeons to hopping rabbits to diving ducks. The scores are then tallied up at the end and the winner declared.
